n by extortionists in Rawat area on Friday.

s, extortionists Mustaq Kiyani and Mohammad Yunus stopped the ongoing construction work of a private housing society by force and demanded extortion money from t
he owner. Upon refu
sal and resistance, they opened fire on the employees of the society, leaving two persons including a security guard severely injured.
The injure
d were rushed to a local hospital for medical treatment however, security guard Mohammad Mubashir succumbed to his injuries on way to the hospital. The other injured was identified as Afzal Qamar.
